This section contains Cascade's regulatory applications currently before the WUTC and OPUC. Prior to any changes in the Company's rates and tariffs, the Company must obtain regulatory approval. Approved Filings: On July 1, 2009, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation submitted to the Washington Utilities & Transportation Commission (WUTC) its annual Purchased Gas Adjustment (PGA) filing. On July 30, 2009, the WUTC approved the revised tariff schedules, which became effective August 1, 2009. The purpose of the filing is to pass on changes in the wholesale natural gas costs. The overall impact of this rate activity is to decrease Residential customer rates by $0.17924 per therm, decrease Commercial customer rates by $0.17922 per therm, decrease Firm Industrial customer rates by $0.17910 per therm, and decrease Interruptible customers by $0.17899 per therm. On April 30, 2009, the Washington Utilities & Transportation Commission approved Cascade Natural Gas Corporation's filing to reduce the gas cost rates for core rate schedules by $0.08803 per therm, effective May 1, 2009. This will result in a monthly bill reduction of $5.43 or 6.3% for a residential customer using an average of 62 therms per month. For small commercial customers, there will be a monthly reduction of $26.98 or 6.67% based on average consumption of 307 therms per month. Industrial customers and large volume Industrial customers will experience on average a decrease of 7.07% and 7.16% respectively depending on monthly volumes consumed. Customer Service Quality Report: 2008 Customer Service Quality Report Oregon Approved Filings: On November 18, 2009, Cascade Natural Gas filed revised tariff sheets with the Public Utility Commission of Oregon for inclusion in its tariff, PUC OR No. 9. This filing consolidates temporary adjustment schedules with basic bundled schedules. On December 8, 2009, the Commission approved the tariff sheets which become effective on December 19, 2009. To view the filing click here. On October 13, 2009, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation submitted to the Oregon Public Utility Commission its revised Purchased Gas Adjustment filing. On, October 27, 2009, the OPUC approved the revised tariff schedules, which became effective on November 1, 2009. The purpose of the filing is to pass on changes in the wholesale natural gas costs. The overall impact of the changes will result in a decrease of 13.16% for residential customers served on Rate Schedule No. 101, a decrease of 15.10% and 18.82% for customers served on Rate Schedule Nos. 104 and 105 respectively, and a decrease of 19.47% for large volume firm customers served on Rate Schedule No. 111.
