Qualifying customers have a verified cumulative household income that does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Level or 80% of their county's Area Median Income. CARES applies a bill discount to reduce the amount due on monthly bills for 24 months. If applicable, CARES also offers a grant to be applied to the past due amount on an active account or an unpaid debt required to be paid to re-establish service.
