How Josephine Caring Community Made Simple Upgrades to Save Gas and Deliver Reliable Comfort.
Josephine Caring Community has come a long way since opening as a small senior living facility in 1908. Over the years, the care center has strengthened its commitment to serving the Stanwood, Washington community by expanding its services to offer skilled nursing, memory care, rehabilitation services, assisted living, assisted memory care, and even childcare. As services grew, so did the campus – which now spans 126,000 square feet. With that growth came new challenges, requiring upgrades to expand their heating system to maintain a comfortable environment in the ever-growing building. This led the facility to pursue heating system upgrades.
“The process was so easy and simple that I thought I was doing it wrong, until I got the confirmation and incentive.”
- Clint Burchard, Director of Facility Environmental Operations at Josephine Caring Community
After hearing about Cascade Natural Gas (CNGC) Commercial and Industrial Program rebates, the Director of Facility Environmental Operations at Josephine Caring Community, Clint Burchard, decided to reach out to the program for support in replacing three boilers with more efficient equipment. From start to finish, CNGC worked with Josephine Caring Community to ensure the path to rebates was clear and simple. Ultimately, the incentives helped the facility replace the boilers in a timely manner, ensuring a comfortable environment for the Josephine community.
Since the upgrade, Josephine Caring Community has already begun to see a decrease in gas consumption and utility costs. In addition to this, the most valuable benefit has been the renewed comfort of residents and peace of mind that comes with having a more efficient and improved boiler system.
